Ann Kirschner is Dean Emerita of Macaulay Honors College, a highly selective program of The City University of New York, the nation’s largest urban university. As chief executive, she oversaw strategy, fundraising, finance/investment, curriculum, career/academic advising, government relations, financial aid, facilities, IT, alumni programs, and marketing/communications.
During her ten years as Dean, she opened the College’s first home at 35 West 67th Street, doubled the size of the College to 2,000 students, increased applications by 300%, and served as the first President of the Macaulay Honors College Foundation, chaired by William Macaulay, responsible for meeting the fundraising and strategic objectives of the College. The College’s alumni include Rhodes Scholars, Soros Fellows, Truman, Marshall, Goldwater, and Fulbright scholars, as well as winners of National Science Foundation and other prestigious fellowships.
