Wonderful convocation!? Our first at Alice Tully Hall.? Holds nearly one thousand, and almost every seat was filled.? Thanks to Marshal Professor Roni Natov, who brought the graduates across Broadway safely and with elan.? Thanks to Autumn Payne, who ran over 100 events at Macaulay this year; this one, the biggest, and the best.? Thanks to the whole Macaulay team, every one of whom had a role in making convocation wonderful.
To help put the doctoral hood on John Whitehead was my great honor.? To introduce David Remnick was daunting (writing an introduction for the editor of The New Yorker….how can I do that??).? To have my parents there was an extra bit of fun, especially since I was wearing my gaudy Princeton robes for the first time.
Class of 2009!? A class with energy, ambition, compassion, and charm!? I hope the transition to the next step is a smooth one.? Chancellor Goldstein and Mr. Macaulay enjoy shaking your hands, and hearing about your plans for the future.? Some of you looked a bit nervous, others jubilant….it was a fabulous day and you will be missed!? Don’t forget to visit.
Now that I’ve learned how to post pictures, I’ll be doing that as soon as I get them!
