Social media killed my blog

As in, I don’t post much here anymore.  My observations on the general state of the world have devolved into quick hits on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.  I don’t have too much use for Instagram or Snap, though I do aspire to experiment with Slack.

If I have something more important to think about, something that resists 140 characters, it evolves into a longer article or even, gasp, a new book.

My current preoccupations?  In no particular order — Elder Care.  The future of higher education.  The future of work.  Getting the hang of my new position as University Professor.  Helping Letters to Sala thrive at schools and universities and regional theaters all across the US.  Having enough time to run, read, and babysit.  Becoming a better mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, friend.
