Bringing Josephine to the Library of Congress

Bringing Josephine to the Library of Congress

I'm sure I will have many adventures along the Josephine trail, but few will compare to today's visit to the Library of Congress.  My wonderful host, Peggy Pearlstein, brought a lovely group together, and we had a lively conversation about Tombstone, women's history, Jewish cemeteries...who knew, for instance, that Molly Fly was responsible for many of her more famous husband's photographs?  One of my audience members was a wonderful expert on this subject, and now I have a new "woman of Tombstone" story to add to that of my favorites Clara Spalding Brown and Nellie Cashman.  Some guests from Ft. Smith KS urged me to visit there, and I hope I will.  And the presence of some old pals from my days in digital media and SALA'S GIFT made it all the more enjoyable.

If I look serious in this photo, why not?  It's the Library of Congress and I should bring some gravitas, right?  Thanks to Gary Arlen for the photo and for his friendship!
